The renowned Bastar Dussehra, a 75-day unique festival held in Bastar, the tribal heartland of Chhattisgarh, has nothing to do with Lord Rama’s triumphant return to Ayodhya after decimating Ravana, but it’s all about nature and Devi Ma Danteshwari, the presiding deity of Bastar.
Unique rituals of this more than 500-year-old festival, celebrated with all pomp and show, cuts across caste and creed, creating bonhomie between people from various castes and tribes in the region.

The renowned Bhagoria is held at Jhabua on an open ground called hat where all tribals of area gathered and make dance with music and clouds of colors. During the festival young boys follows the chosen girl. On getting suitable opportunity, he applies gulal on girls face, if the girl reciprocates the gesture by applying gulal on boys face, that is taken as acceptance of the proposal. After this marriage ceremony is performed.

The Hornbill Festival is a celebration held every year from 1 to 10 December, in Nagaland, Northeast India. To encourage inter-tribal interaction and to promote cultural heritage of Nagaland, the Government of Nagaland organizes the Hornbill Festival every year in the first week of December.

Kumbh Mela, in Hinduism, is a religious pilgrimage that is celebrated four times over a course of 12 years. The geographical location of Kumbh Mela spans over four locations in India and the Mela site keeps rotating between one of the four pilgrimages on four sacred rivers.

Rajim Kumbh started in Chhattisgarh from the anomaly that occurs at Sangam in Allahabad, Utter Pradesh. The has confluence of three rivers also known as Treveni Sangam that lead to the commencement of this holy pilgrimage in Rajim, Chhattisgarh. Rajim Kumbh is organized every year since 2007 and the celebration has now gone massive.
